Blogmas Day 14.

I had news today that a close friend lost his father suddenly last night. This isn’t going to be a long one today because I honestly don’t know what to say.
I’ve been to a few funerals this year and what they all have in common was that they were all wonderful men. Men, who despite being in old age, felt like they were taken too soon. The funerals and memorials were the most wonderful testament to the life they lived and the lives they touched. This upcoming funeral will be no different. In that respect, I can think of no better way to go.
If you’ve lost a loved one this year – or ever – and you still miss them, it means that they’ve left an incredible legacy by touching your heart and changing your life for the better. That’s beautiful.
That’s not to say it’s not sad. Incredibly sad. I pray the pain diminishes, the good memories strengthen and I offer my sincere condolences.
